SPH-H180- Stress Management- Lesson Plan Name: (Last, First)_Yuchan Hu__ Fill out your lesson plan and PRINT. You will hand-deliver to me on 12/1. 1. What stress reduction technique did you choose to teach someone else? I chose the time management as the stress reduction technique to teach my roommate. 2. Why did you choose this topic? I chose this topic because I know that my roommate is a student who is confused by her procrastination. She often postpones complete learning tasks although she has free time and energy. It causes her to always complete the assignments a few minutes before the dead line I think that the technique, which I obtain from this class, can help her to solve this problem. 3. Space: Describe the space in which you will host this stress reduction technique? (Example: if it is a dorm room, where will the person stand/sit/lie down? Will you have candles? Music?) I will host this stress reduction technique in our living room of dormitory, which has a blue sofa and a floor lamp. We will sit in the blue sofa to talk about the time management skills. The time management skills are not like meditation or guided imagery requires people to close their eyes or lie down, so I think that teaching my roommate skills in her sober state is the best. Thus, I do not prepare candles and music, which can relax her body and mind. 4. How will you invite your friends to join you to do this stress reduction technique? What will you tell them to wear? Music Report Essay Example For Students

Music Report Essay Type of concert: classical General reaction: I was impressed with the construction of the concert hall- a very unique and classical Sheikh Rasher Hall- and with its wonderful decorations and lights. The attentiveness of the audience heightened my sense of excitement. Everything was so organized; people were enjoying hearing Omar karats performance on the piano specially me. Omar chair is a composer and pianist. He was born in Cairo; he was raised in a family of musicians. He Joined the Cairo conservatoire in 1959, studied piano with Italian maestro Vincent Carry, and allowed correspondence courses in music theory and composition with the trinity college in England. Omar karats music bridges contemporary Arab music and Western music reflecting genuine maturity. Best composition: chair played a number of compositions including pieces 100 asana cinema, Aziza mayhem habeas and upon the audience request he repeated 3 times fee hag Helga a song dedicated to Egypt . The piece I enjoyed the most was Aziza mayhem habeas a very famous song, sung by Mediate Sales in an Arabic movie. That piece describes the beauty of Egypt. I strongly love it. That work was tonal because it manipulated dutiful sounds that pleased me and pleased all of the audience. The concert started at first with a concerto form when Omar chair himself started showing us his skills on the piano and how professional he is. And then suddenly the second part the whole orchestra started performing together, the movements of the notes appeared to be distinct because it was moving in a leaping manner. I couldnt really define the range of Omar karats notes on the piano but I think it ended in a wide range because it made me feel as if I am having a zip ride adventure in the forest between the long trees and the nature of the heavenly skies. The texture varied between the monophonic of solo violin and the homophony heard from the whole orchestra. The second beautiful piece Omar chair performed in that huge concert was 100 asana cinema which honestly no one hates. The song was very pretty. In a moment of listening to it, I visualized a two lovers dancing together in front of the sea. That piece brought back the lovely memories when my grandfather (May he rest in peace) used to make me listen to that song with him. He loved that song so much; it was one of his favorite songs besides mm goalmouth songs. Listening to Omar hair brought me close to tears, while seeing him performing on the piano brought a smile to my lips. The overall performance was totally professional in every respect, I really enjoyed listening to this concert. I wish I could have seen it in real life but disappointedly I couldnt because of some secure reasons happening in Egypt. May god bless Egypt and everything be better so I can go to any of Omar karats concerts. To end up this, as Katie Skiving said music can change your mood instantly. It can make memories feel present and any dream seem tangible. And thats what I believe in Music Report By irremediableness

Viet Nam Essay Summary Example For Students

Viet Nam Essay Summary BY GERARD CHRETIENThe media has made sure that all of us are aware of the Vietnam conflict. Readers and movie goers the world over are now familiar with Americas suffering in Vietnam and the problems American veterans have endured as they attempted to adjust to civilian life. Although all life is irreplaceable, the fact remains that the United States lost fewer than a million men in the Vietnam conflict and their social institutions and infrastructure remained relatively intact. The Vietnamese, however, lost two million men and their culture, society, landscape and tradition were literally obliterated. Despite this destruction, their side of this horrendous story has seldom been told. Worse yet, when it is told, they are often portrayed in the most unattractive of all light. Until only a few years ago, the Vietnamese were portrayed by the media as a faceless people with no identity; entities not worth caring about. The turning point came with the publication, in Dutch, of Duong Thu H uongs Blind Paradise in 1994. This landmark book was followed by Bao Ninhs The Sorrow of War. War novels deal, superficially, with war. But underneath all the blood and horror and carnage lie far deeper social and human issues. The best novels of war, such as Erich Maria Remarques All Quiet on the Western Front and Ernest Hemingways For Whom the Bell Tolls, as well as Bao Ninhs The Sorrow of War, also deal with the makeup and morality of a culture or a society gone wrong. The protagonist of these books, whether real or fictional, often endures a harrowing personal struggle through both a public and private hell and usually undergoes some sort of redemption, even if that redemption results in death. Born in 1952, Bao Ninh served in the Glorious 27th Youth Brigade during the Vietnam conflict. Of the five hundred youths who went to war with this brigade in 1969, Bao Ninh was one of its ten survivors, so it is not unusual that war should be the subject of his first book, considering the impact it has had on his life. Semi-autobiographical in nature, the protagonist of The Sorrow of War, Kien, is the lone survivor of his brigade and a ten year veteran of the war. As the book opens he is serving as part of an MIA body collection team. It is through his memories that we slowly learn how the war has devastated his youth and the youth of his countrymen. In an attempt to purge himself of the demons of war and the hopelessness of the present, Kien writes, merging his memories of the past with his images of the present. For Kien, writing is the only way he can perform his last duty as a soldier, a duty he sees as being to expose the realities of war and to tear aside conventional images. In prose that ranges from the horrific to the poetic, Ninh relates memories and images of death and destruction, anguish and sorrow. Yet, underneath all of this loss lies a bittersweet love story, the true story of Ninh and his childhood sweetheart who were parted forever by the war. It i s Ninhs personal recollections that make this book the saddest and most sorrowful story ever written. Nowhere has there ever been a more tragic tale of unnecessary loss and suffering and destruction. And there is no redemption. For all the suffering and loss endured at every level of Vietnamese lifethe loss of youth, family, life, tradition and loveis all in vain. The future that Kien fought for as a youth never materializes, and, in the meantime, he loses all that was ever meaningful to him, all that he has ever held dear and close to his heart. This is the real sorrow and loss and tragedy of war and it is a tragedy we all must share, no matter who or where we are. The Sorrow of War is a book that will change your life but it is also a book that will break your heart. .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a , .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .postImageUrl , .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a , .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:hover , .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:visited , .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:active { border:0!important; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:active , .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uea6188fe04f192cb6ac7c2aacdb17a9a:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Humanity And Politics In Gullivers Travels Essay We will write a custom essay on Viet Nam Summary specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Words/ Pages : 672 / 24
